Z-Lab is an independent research laboratory that operates outside institutional, commercial, and programmatic structures. This laboratory serves as a conceptual systems space where the study of physical architectures, material behavior, and system-level interactions are prioritized over implementation details. Z-Lab does not function as a vendor, contractor, or program participant, nor does it seek grants, venture funding, or formal partnerships. The work produced within Z-Lab is not optimized for deployment readiness or policy alignment; instead, it is focused on internal consistency, physical plausibility, and conceptual closure. Z-Lab documents the questions, architectures, and artifacts that arise when existing assumptions are intentionally suspended.
